Join us for a Halloween-themed event to raise fund for charity

Newburgh, New York – Grab your running shoes, a cool Halloweeen costume and head out to Orange County Choppers for the 5K/10K, on Sunday, October 27, 2013. The race is set to start at 10:15a.m. at OCC Headquarters located at 14 Crossroads Court, Newburgh, NY. Net proceeds from the event will benefit a charity to be announced shortly.

Runners and walkers will race 3.1 to 6.2 miles through a moderately-challenging course starting and ending on OCC grounds. Paul Teutul, Sr., founder of Orange County Choppers, will sound the gun off – rain or shine – promptly at 10:15am signaling the start of the race.

Registration is now available online at Pre-registration for a single runner or walker is $20.00 until Sunday, September 29. The cost of registration then rises to $25.00 on Monday, September 30. Those who register on or before Sunday, October 6 are guaranteed to receive an event t-shirt and gift bag. A family package is also being offered for groups of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 18) for $65.00 until September 29, and then $85.00 from September 30 until October 26. Please note that the family package will not be available for purchase on the day of the event.

Day-of registration will be $25.00 for each runner/walker. The event t-shirts and gift bags will be in limited supply, so register early if you would like both.

Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 runners male/female in both the 5K and 10K plus top 3 walkers, followed by medals for the first, second, and third place male and female runners in the following brackets: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. We will also have prizes for the best costumes, so use your imagination!

The Lawless Electric Rocket Bike piloted by Larry “Spiderman” McBride made history May 4, 2012 with a National Electric Drag Racing Association (NEDRA) DMC/A3 record run of 6.940 at 201.37 mph making it the first electric vehicle to break 200 mph in the quarter mile! The 355 volt Rocket bike was built by Lawless Industries and Orange County Choppers.
